Character Name: Tom Collins
Original Character? Nope
Your Name: Jasmine
Other Characters you play on this site: Soon to be Andrea Waxon
Picture:
Model: Jesse L Martin
Physical Appearance: Collins has very short, curly black hair that's usually covered up by a skull cap (normally black or navy blue). He has chocolate colored skin that match his big brown eyes and a beard and mustache surrounding full lips. He has broad shoulders, which imply that he's very strong, which is true in many senses of the word. Still, he reminds people more of a teddy bear than a grizzly, if you know what I mean.
History: Collins was born as Thomas Collins (to this day, he insists that his father was drunk when he suggested his name, because there was no way they wouldn't have been able to think of the fact that if shortened to Tom Collins, he'd be named after a drink) to Martha and Chad Collins in your typical suburb. Both of his parents wanted him to succeed, so they encouraged him to do well in school, but were also careful to give him enough space. As it turned out, it wasn't necessary to encourage him to do well, because Collins seemed to be a naturally fast learner and definitely sharper than your average kid.
While Collins wasn't exactly bad to the bone, his parents had a tendency to let him get away with more than most, thinking that it was better to let him have freedom. While that was probably true, he wound up being the kid who drew on desks when he was bored at school (which was often) and were likely to talk out in class. Luckily for him, he was semi popular during school, since despite him being slightly introverted when he first met someone, he had this natural charm. So when some of the meaner kids from school tried to pick on him (although this rarely happened; Collins was hardly a victim), he had enough back up.
Personality: Collins almost acts as the big brother of the group of bohos. He's the one most likely to be seen with a wide smile on his face and laughing, whether it's because of the antics he's surrounded by or something he might have said in reaction to said antics. He's not afraid to gently tease his friends, but they know that he doesn't mean anything bad by it. He's often very supportive of them and often tries to give them the right amount of encouragement without pushing them too hard.
While Collins isn't prone to violence (almost to the point where he'd rather run than defend himself), it's not a good idea to have him against you. He doesn't forgive very easily and will probably meet you with cynical comments unless he's given a very good reason not to. Along with that, he'll defend his loved ones to the death or as well as he can without actually hurting anyone. He doesn't take people being hurt lightly.
Collins isn't the type to not let his opinions be heard or let his views be known. He was slightly shy a couple of years ago, but only around people he didn't know. Even then, you were guaranteed to know his opinions on a subject if you brought it up. He's even been known to break the rules in order to make a point. It can be said that it's hard to change his mind, but it's definitely not impossible. After meeting Angel, he was completely brought out of his shell.

Another day of just too much thinking had passed for Melchior. Or so he thought. All he knew now was that he found himself walking around the park. His expression wasn't exactly a frown, but it wasn't a smile either. Despite his joy that he had been brought back here with his best friend, he still felt empty. Sure, he now knew that Wendla was alive (which was enough to lift his spirits up quite a bit), but the fact that he had no idea where she was killed him.
There was so much that was uncertain between the two. Would he take him back if he asked? Did she know the grief he felt for what he had done; taken her childhood, innocence and almost her life? Would she forgive him, perhaps let herself take all the blame just as she had when she asked him to beat her? Just the memory made him shudder as he walked around the park like a blind man.
Eventually, he found himself near a tree. Needing a rest, he slid down on the side that was facing the path of the park. He closed his eyes, trying to clear his mind. Good luck with that, you overly intelligent fool, he thought bitterly. "Wherever you are Wendla, I hope you're happy. And safe. Preferably not being stifled by authority figures." He never believed in praying, especially after knowing what horrors the world held, but desperate measures were called for when he felt this way. You spend your life running from the church and look where you end up. His own words echoed in his head and he smiled ruefully.
